A delicious and easy breakfast casserole combining crispy hash browns, creamy cheese, and savory sausage, perfect for families and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 package (30 oz) frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 8 eggs (room temperature)
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 lb pork sausage (Jimmy Dean)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk or heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, mix the cheddar cheese, eggs, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and milk.
- Add the cooked sausage and thawed hash browns to the bowl and stir together until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until set and golden brown on top.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with fresh fruits, warm biscuits, or toasted bread. Add green onions or hot sauce for extra flavor.
