Description

A hearty and comforting breakfast casserole featuring biscuits, sausage, cheese, and eggs, topped with rich gravy.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup gravy (prepared, sausage gravy or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cut or break the biscuits into quarters and add to the egg mixture along with the cooked sausage and cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and slightly golden on top.
  7. Remove from the oven and pour gravy over the top before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, brown the sausage well and consider mixing different cheeses or adding veggies. You can prepare the casserole the night before for convenience.
