Description

A comforting breakfast casserole filled with eggs, sausage, and cheese, perfect for gatherings or busy mornings.


Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or alternative)
  • 1 pound sausage (pork, turkey, or veggie)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 cups cubed stale bread
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until brown. Add chopped bell peppers and onions, cooking until soft.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  4. Fold in the cubed bread and shredded cheese.
  5. Combine the sausage mixture with the egg mixture, stirring gently.
  6. Transfer to the greased baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Feel free to substitute different types of cheese or meats. Use stale bread for a creamier texture.
