Description

A hearty and delicious breakfast casserole made with eggs, sausage, cheese, and veggies, perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of frozen hash browns (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Add the onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. If using, spread the hash browns in a greased baking dish.
  5. Layer the cooked sausage mixture over the hash browns, then pour the egg mixture on top.
  6. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a crispier texture, broil the casserole for the last few minutes of baking. You can also customize the dish by using different types of cheese or adding more vegetables.
