Delightful lemon brownies combine the rich taste of traditional brownies with a refreshing lemon zing.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Zest of 2 lemons
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar together until well combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice together until smooth.
- Once the brownies have cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Allow to set, cut into squares, and enjoy!

To enhance the flavor, consider garnishing with lemon slices or serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
