Ingredients
1 cup (240 ml) filtered water
1 tsp loose-leaf sencha green tea
½ inch fresh ginger, finely grated
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tsp raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar
1 tsp raw honey or 4–5 liquid stevia drops (to taste)
1 pinch pink sea salt (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat water to about 175 °F / 80 °C—just off the boil.
2. Place green tea and grated ginger in the strainer; set over the mug.
3. Pour hot water through the strainer and steep exactly 3 minutes.
4. Remove strainer. Stir in lemon juice and apple-cider vinegar.
5. Add honey or stevia; swirl until dissolved.
6. Taste and, if desired, pinch in sea salt to round the acidity.
7. Garnish with lemon wheel and ginger coin.
8. Sip warm, or cool and serve over ice.
Notes
Swap lemon for orange and add a clove for a winter version.
Cold-brew: Combine all ingredients in cold water, steep 6 hours in fridge, strain, then sweeten.
Keto version: Replace honey with ½ tsp monk-fruit syrup.
