Description
A delicious and easy breakfast casserole made with croissants, eggs, cheese, and ham or bacon, perfect for preparing the night before.
Ingredients
- 4 croissants, torn into pieces
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cheese, shredded
- 1 cup diced ham or cooked bacon
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Tear the croissants into pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture over the croissants evenly.
- Sprinkle with cheese, diced ham or bacon, and chopped green onions.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, remove from the fridge, uncover, and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use stale croissants for better absorption of the egg mixture. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses and add vegetables for variation.
