Description

A delicious and easy breakfast casserole made with croissants, eggs, cheese, and ham or bacon, perfect for preparing the night before.

Ingredients

  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup diced ham or cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Tear the croissants into pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissants evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese, diced ham or bacon, and chopped green onions.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  7. In the morning, remove from the fridge, uncover, and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use stale croissants for better absorption of the egg mixture. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses and add vegetables for variation.
