Description

A comforting and hearty casserole made with breakfast sausage, eggs, cheese, and optional vegetables, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 3 cups of bread cubes (optional)
  • 1 cup of chopped vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer the sausage, optional bread cubes, and vegetables. Pour the egg mixture over the top.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a variation, you can use ham or cooked bacon instead of sausage. Adding fresh herbs can enhance the flavor.
