Description

A hearty and comforting breakfast dish featuring layers of sausage, cheese, and crescent rolls, perfect for busy mornings or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk (2%)
  • 3/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2-1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded monterey jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if necessary and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Unroll the crescent rolls and lay them in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, pinching the seams together to form a crust.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the crescent roll crust.
  6. Pour the egg mixture on top of the sausage, ensuring it covers everything.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and monterey jack cheese over the top.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for added flavor and nutrition.
