A hearty and comforting breakfast casserole featuring sausage, hash browns, eggs, and cheese, perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage
- 1 package (30 oz) frozen hash browns
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 12 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, frozen hash browns, cheddar cheese, onion, bell pepper, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter and pour in the mixture, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a twist, try using different types of cheese or adding cooked bacon or ham. You can also prepare this casserole the night before and refrigerate it overnight.
