Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- 1 pound pork sausage (or turkey/bacon)
- 1 ½ cups whole milk or heavy cream
- 30 oz bag frozen shredded hash browns (thawed)
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Layer the thawed hash browns in the greased baking pan, spreading them evenly.
- Add the cooked sausage on top of the hash browns, then sprinkle one cup of cheddar cheese over the sausage.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over all the layers, ensuring the egg covers everything.
- Cover the baking pan with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Let the dish cool slightly before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge. To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.
