Description
Juicy, tender teriyaki-glazed chicken wrapped in warm tortillas and layered with crisp veggies for a quick, flavorful meal that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey (for a touch of sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil (for sautéing chicken)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat for a healthier option)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce (romaine recommended)
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (red or yellow)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sauté for 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
- Pour the teriyaki mixture over the chicken and cook for another 2–3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
- Assemble wraps by adding lettuce, carrots, bell peppers, and teriyaki chicken to each tortilla.
- Sprinkle with green onions, roll tightly, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Add sliced avocado or cucumber for extra freshness.
- For a spicy kick, drizzle with sriracha or add red pepper flakes.
- Chicken can be grilled instead of sautéed for a smoky flavor.
