Description

Juicy, tender teriyaki-glazed chicken wrapped in warm tortillas and layered with crisp veggies for a quick, flavorful meal that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey (for a touch of sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil (for sautéing chicken)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat for a healthier option)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (romaine recommended)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (red or yellow)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sauté for 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Pour the teriyaki mixture over the chicken and cook for another 2–3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  5. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  6. Assemble wraps by adding lettuce, carrots, bell peppers, and teriyaki chicken to each tortilla.
  7. Sprinkle with green onions, roll tightly, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add sliced avocado or cucumber for extra freshness.
  • For a spicy kick, drizzle with sriracha or add red pepper flakes.
  • Chicken can be grilled instead of sautéed for a smoky flavor.
