Ingredients
- 3 medium very ripe bananas (black speckles preferred)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs, room-temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (120g per cup)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Grease and line 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper
- Mash bananas in large bowl until smooth
- Add sugar and butter, mix until fully combined
- Whisk in eggs and vanilla until smooth
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt gradually
- Fold in optional add-ins (chips, nuts, yogurt)
- Spread batter evenly in prepared pan
- Bake 50-60 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean
- Cool in pan 10 minutes before slicing
