Description
A 5-minute refrigerator-freezer smoothie blending fresh strawberries and frozen banana with Greek yogurt and milk for a creamy, sweet-tart breakfast. No heat required and enhances natural flavors with no artificial additives.
Ingredients
- Fresh strawberries, 2 cups (60g), halved
- Banana, 1 (118g), quartered and frozen x5 hours
- Greek yogurt, ½ cup (120g)
- Milk, ½ cup (118ml)
Instructions
- Rinse and halve strawberries. Peel and cut banana in fourths.
- Remove from freezer if frozen overnight.
- Verify blender is at room temperature.
- Avoid cold appliances to preserve ice texture when blending frozen items.
- Add strawberries, banana, yogurt, and milk to Vitamix-like blender.
- Start low (level 1) then gradually increase to level 4 for 15-20 seconds.
Notes
- Freeze peeled banana in an airtight container for 5 hours.
- Remove from storage 15 minutes before blending to avoid clumping.
- For thicker consistency, reduce liquid by ¼ cup.
- For softer texture, increase by 2 tbsp.
- dd ½ tsp honey if strawberries taste tart or a ½ lemon zest for extra zest.
